 Dear Constituent,
I wanted to take a minute to say "Thank You..." for your support and vote of
confidence in the last election.
Regardless of where you may be in NC House District #73
-- from Belews
Creek southward through eastern Walkertown, all of
Kernersville, communities in Sedge Garden
and Union Cross, southeastern
Winston Salem, and the precincts in Northern Davidson
County of Abbotts Creek, Wallburg, and Gumtree -- you
can be assured that my number one objective is to
provide you with the representation you deserve in
Raleigh!
I believe that my core values are the same as those
of most of the people who live in these areas. In an effort to help you
make an informed decision when choosing your candidate,
I want you to better understand my background and core
beliefs.
- First and foremost, I am a Christian
- I am also a Republican -- and have served the
city of Kernersville for 18 years as Alderman and
Mayor
- I believe that family and pro-life issues are
extremely important
- I believe that the right to bear arms is one of
our most fundamental rights
- I believe that marriage is a union between one
man and one woman
Now in my 20th year as an elected official, I have
never supported or voted for a tax increase. As your
representative in Raleigh, I will oppose to the best of
my ability any tax increase on the citizens of North
Carolina.
I believe that every citizen should have the freedom to
determine his or her own destiny regarding private
property. When you elected me to
represent you in Raleigh, one of the first pieces of
legislation I introduced was to give homeowners the
right to vote directly on the issue of annexation.
Another important part of my commitment to you, the
voters, is my support of the three E’s-
- Education
- the Economy
- Efficiency
in government
